We asked the IELC Junior and Senior Ambassadors to pick one word that describes how they feel in anticipation for the 6th Annual International Emerging Leaders Conference, and here is what they said.
Though preparations for Collegiate’s International Conference are a year round affair, the Conference has really taken shape over the past week. In addition to the many physical aspects of preparing Collegiate for the international delegates’ arrival, a new excitement has surfaced in the many dedicated people who make the International Emerging Leaders Conference a reality.
As we searched for the source of this new found enthusiasm, we ran across Mrs. Rusbuldt who was excited to be able to shift focus from the origination of the conference to the people who really bring the conference to life.
“Most of the tough work is behind us; now we can turn to our real task of building relationships and welcoming our global family.” – Mrs. Rusbuldt
Over this week leading up to the Conference, the senior ambassadors have really come together and shifted focus from their individual roles to the experience that we are all about to embark on together. This new group focus really shined through on Thursday morning when the senior ambassadors worked together in an assembly line to pack all the backpacks needed for the international students’ arrival. Though the task was simple, the group really came together as a team and their enthusiasm for the C onference shined though.
