Calligraphy and martial arts are two of the most famous traditional Chinese art forms. Our Chinese partners wanted to teach us more about China’s traditions. With over 600 students in the international high school here (a program that prepares students for going to university abroad) the school has included in the required courses for this program several courses in traditional Chinese culture. The Collegiate students learned about the history of the written language in China before trying their hands at some calligraphy with ink and brush.

The students especially enjoyed learning tai chi, with clear focus they learned a series guided by the teacher.
