After a busy morning, the students returned to the Lower School to participate in the Cultural Fair.
Each country had the opportunity to perform/present something important the country’s culture. Some of the performances included traditional dances, popular songs, and unique customs.
The event invites Lower Schoolers to become more immersed in global cultures. Each Lower School attendee was given a “passport” to be stamped by all of the countries represented in the event.
In addition to the performance component, international students were asked to prepare a table with items representative of their respective countries. Parents, students, teachers, friends, and IELC participants alike sampled international cuisine and learned about different cultures from people who actually live these cultures everyday.
“My knowledge has expanded after the Cultural Fair. I am proud to be a part of this conference!” – Fahd (Morocco)
