Today the Chinese students participated in the first of many classroom visits. Groups of people visited photography classes pictured above, language classes, experienced a lunch in the cafeteria, and participated in conversations with Collegiate students.

One of the highlights of today was visiting the photography classes, since during our discussion on educational systems, the Chinese students said that one area of possible educational growth was in the arts. Some students said that photography was a passion of theirs, but they did not have the time or resources to pursue this passion in photography and digital arts. Mr. Dabney, the photography teacher at Collegiate, was kind enough to offer students the opportunity to use the dark room and make negative prints. The group of students who visited the photography class were excited to be in contact with Mr. Dabney and the photography class in hopes of starting a photography club during the period of leisure study at the end of their school days.
